Baridhara Scholars’ International School and College (BSISC), currently administrated by Bangladesh Army, is a premier esteemed institution that is situated at DOHS, Baridhara, Dhaka Cantonment. There are 52 educational institutions which are run by Bangladesh Army and BSISC is one of them. All army run institutions function under the Central Coordination Committee (CCC). Both the syllabus and booklist are prepared by CCC and all army run institutions follow the same syllabus. Since 2001, BSISC has been offering quality education for all. Focusing on this commitment and under the prudent leadership of current principal, Brigadier General Sheikh Shariful Islam, PhD (Retd), this institution is spreading the true spirit of education among the existing learners.

Enthusiastic students are facilitated with a well-furnished library with ample collection of books. They are also ensured modern facilities for using a computer lab. There are lots of club activities that nurture students’ latent skills. It is a place where students can demonstrate their talent by playing different types of indoor games.
Our Institution is currently offering two curricula for the students – National Curriculum (English Version) and International Curriculum (under Edexcel). In BSISC, the International Curriculum starts from Nursery to Year 12 (A Level). Once the students finish Std. II, options are given to choose either National or International Curriculum. Those who choose International Curriculum, they remain under a set of well-qualified and trained faculty members and appear for O Level (Ordinary Level) Exam after completing year 10. In the same manner, they appear for A Level (Advanced Level) Exam after completing year 12. Our students sit for their O & A Level registrations under British Council.
Our International Curriculum is highly associated with the DofE (Duke of Edinburgh Award) programme. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a royal charter corporation. The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, promotes the award abroad and acts as a coordinating body for award sponsors in other nations. In Bangladesh, the award is offered under The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation Bangladesh, which has been based on in Dhaka since 2008. Various schools and universities participate and they achieve Bronze, Silver and Gold medals.
Our International Curriculum result is outstanding. Few students have already achieved world highest in Accounting. Every year, they receive The Daily Star and Edexcel Awards for their excellent outcome. Some of our graduates are studying in some world class universities of home and abroad.
Besides the International Curriculum, our institution also offers National Curriculum for the students who have a dream to build a career in our country. The Government of Bangladesh has recently introduced the new curriculum framework-2021. Under this framework, all the teachers of BSISC have already received training on this new curriculum. These well-trained teachers with their sincere effort and dedication conduct the class vibrantly with their practical knowledge and valuable experience. All the talented pupils with the help of well-qualified, experienced, and dedicated teachers of BSISC made brilliant records on SSC results in the previous years. Our teachers are committed to foster their knowledge with academic excellence, to equip them for their roles in a rapidly changing world.
We are also offering BNCC (Bangladesh National Cadet Corps) facilities aiming for the overall development of national curriculum students in Bangladesh, preparing them to be responsible, skilled, and well-rounded citizens. BNCC emphasizes the development of moral values and ethics, fostering a sense of discipline, responsibility, and integrity among students. It also facilitates various opportunities for the students to develop leadership skills through structured training programs and practical exercises which will offer them to join in military services as a cadet directly through ISSB. It is to be mentioned that a good number of our ex-students have been serving as officers in Bangladesh Army, Navy and Air Force.
